What is Bridges into Work?

 

The Bridges into Work Project is a European funded project working across five Local Authority areas of South Wales, as well as Merthyr Tydfil it covers Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taff. Through a collaborative approach, Bridges into Work aims to engage, support and prepare the economically inactive, including those who are unemployed or on incapacity benefit, to acquire the appropriate skills to become job ready and to gain sustainable employment.

Project Criteria:    Individuals must live in the areas listed above and be over 16 years of age, working less than 16 hours per week, unemployed, not in full time education and actively seeking employment.

All the courses and training are FREE and the Bridges into Work project offers the opportunity to gain skills and qualifications to assist individuals to become job ready and gain employment.

Bridge into Work Programme: The Bridges into Work Project in Merthyr Tydfil has it own training centre at 17-20 Penydre, Gurnos, Merthyr Tydfil. Qualifications range from Entry to Level 3.
