Llamau A step in the right direction

Llamau supports young people and vulnerable women facing homelessness, who may have experienced poverty, abuse, and discrimination, and have significant health and educational needs. We are a registered charity, providing specialist support to encourage stable independent living throughout ten local authorities in South Wales. The pre-vocational training part of Llamau is known as Learning 4 Life. 

Learning 4 life offers learning opportunities to young people aged 16 – 25 in a friendly and supportive setting. We think it is really important that young people can follow a programme that suits their needs. We offer flexible sessions that are designed to help improve confidence and self-esteem. We focus on improving employability skills so that young people gain confidence to take the next step towards employment.

Learning 4 life is an approved City & Guilds Centre. We offer Essential Skills Wales Certificates in:

  • Communication
  • ICT
  • Application of Number

All at Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2.

We also offer accreditation from Agored Cymru in life skills including:

  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Introduction to Cookery
  • Creative Arts
  • Developing Self Esteem
  • Art & Craft

We also support young people to improve their employability skills from writing a CV to preparing for interviews. We have links with employers who offer visits, short work tasters and longer work placements.
