Preparation for Working Life and a Brighter Future

Transition into Employment is an established programme funded by Communities First and delivered in partnership through 3 G’s Development Trust and Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. Our team are specialists in working with young people who are facing barriers with education, employment or training.

It is our belief that all young people have the ability to learn, to make progress and to achieve. We believe that given the right support and encouragement young people will make the transition into employment, further learning or training and find independence as adults.

Transition into employment offers a package of support tailored to individual needs. We offer delivery of qualifications and vocational experiences.

Key Features include:

Personal Development – improving young peoples self esteem, self confidence and their ability to work as part of a team.

Pre-employment Training – enabling young people to achieve health & Safety, Manual Handling and First Aid. Preparing for interviews and interview skills.

Qualifications – Achieving Edexcel BTEC Workskills and Foundation Learning, City and Guilds Essential Skills and ASDAN CoPE.

Work Preparation – supporting young people to complete job searches, job applications and CV writing.

Work Placement – secured to best suit the skills and interests of young people. Whilst engaging in work placement young people receive regular support to ensure success and to enable them to find independence as adults.

Payment of a weekly allowance to learners with refunding of travel expenses.
